Inside Medicare Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY:


Health Net Senior Products Inside Sales Representatives take inbound inquiries from prospective members and assist them in joining the various Health Net Medicare plans. Representative is responsible for achieving a set goal of leads closed each month via telephone contacts, in addition to meeting departmental call production standards. Representative delegates leads to outside sales representatives for in-home appointments and meeting reservations. Coordinate mailing of collateral material for callers. Inbound and outbound calls are tracked and monitored for regulatory compliance. Performs other related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer inbound telemarketing requests.

Staff inbound Senior Products 800 number to present plan options to callers to encourage members to join plan and completes the sale.

Complete outbound calls designed to encourage prospective members to join and existing members to remain with the plan.

Delegate leads to outside sales representatives for in-home appointments and meeting reservations.

Coordinate mailing of collateral material for callers.

Follow up with designated inside sales leads (or other call designated by management) to achieve enrollments.

Order materials and distribute leads to outside sales via lead tracking computer.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS:



Education:

High School Diploma.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Certification/License:

DOI Life Agent License must be acquired within 45 days of employment.

Experience:

Two years in call center customer service/Telesales or Inside Sales with an insurance, health Care, HMO or Senior Services environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Familiarity with Medicare regulations and/or managed health care.

Previous experience with ACD systems.

Q-Care, or ABS application, Litton, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to operate PC-based software programs or automated business systems databases.

Excellent sales skills.

Proven ability to make decisions quickly in a fast paced production environment.

Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin a plus.

Must be able to work independently, take initiative and follow through on assignments.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written along with strong analytical problem solving skills.

Must have interpersonal and organizational skills.

Must be a team player with demonstrated empathy for Medicare membership.
