This role controls the technical, business, and personnel aspects of consulting projects. Applies project management techniques and individual technical and or business knowledge to ensure client satisfaction with the quality of work product and project deliverables.Responsibilities:
Participates in leading new business solicitation, proposal development and presentation preparation; assists in planning, pricing and managing engagements; assists in selling at least one opportunity for new business for client add-on business; contributes to internal knowledge base by publishing articles and/or delivering speeches;may manage up to three Software Implementation Consultants. Responsible for the technical and business quality of engagement work products, solutions, and deliverables. Tracks and assesses project goals, plans, issues, timelines, action items, and budgets using project management tools and methods. Assists in implementing techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate potential risks, and help to identify future business opportunities. Assesses client satisfaction throughout the consulting engagement and takes appropriate action as necessary. Improves efficiencies in materials management, purchasing, logistics, distribution, storage or vendor management.
REQUIREMENTS
Experienced (10+ years) business consultant with experience in Supply Chain, CRM/PRM, and SAP. High tech industry experience is required (experience with HP/Microsoft/Yahoo/Cisco/Intel is a plus). Able to drive pursuits and expand accounts. Must be a team-player.
Requirements:
Minimum six years relevant work experience required, with a broad understanding of at least one area of supply chain operations (procurement, supplier management and development, purchasing/materials planning and management, and inbound transportation management. Experience ideally gained within a consulting environment. Demonstrated expertise in specific supply chain operations. Good working knowledge of inventory control/management or product standardization a plus. Experience required in definition, refinement, design, development, and delivery of technical and/or business solutions. Experience in services oriented sales desired. Possesses excellent oral and written communications skills, demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of current trends and technical advancements, and is flexible to travel extensively.
