Responsibilities:
- Create and expand new and current business relationships outside the organization; represent the organization to customers, government, the public, and other external sources. Follow-up on leads, create marketing campaigns, and develop business relationships
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
- Develop and construct reports on sales and/or marketing plans, market information, competitor information, etc
- Create and execute an annual business/sales plan for assigned territory
- Service existing accounts to stimulate interest in establishment or expansion of current programs
- Learn a sophisticated knowledge level of product offerings and keep up-to-date technically
- Facilitate product presentations and trainings
- Support marketing efforts by attending and assisting in various trade shows/conferences if requested
-Achieve a monthly sales goal of $100K
REQUIREMENTS
Desired Candidate would possess:
- B.A. in Education or business preferred – classroom experience is a plus. Sales experience preferred.
- Proven track record in quota achievement and growth of a geographic territory
- Active Listening, originality, problem sensitivity, time and goal management, and inductive reasoning
-Entrepreneurial personality, initiative, and self-motivating
- Demonstrated knowledge of local education market
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent oral and written skills
- Solid Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint skills and experience creating and maintaining reports
- Knowledge of principles and methods for presenting, promoting, and selling products and services (i.e. marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques)
