Interact with technical experts to understand the capabilities and limitations of the envisioned product and technology.20 %
Interact with outside entities (customer, industry and academic experts, etc.) to develop an understanding of the targeted markets and applications, assess customer needs and product attributes required for success, analyze the results in written reports and spreadsheets, including system cost/value/performance models. - 40 %
Improve, modify, or generate new product concepts as needed to increase the overall program probability of success. - 20 %
Provide objective recommendations to management and project teams including supporting data and methodologies; participate in setting new product development project priorities. - 5 %
Conduct specific elements of a BOA as needed to support management and project team program decisions. - 15 %
REQUIREMENTS
BS in engineering, science, or industrial design; 5+ years industrial experience; 1+ years working directly with customers in an engineering, technical marketing, or technical sales function; significant previous involvement in new product development.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
