Or,like the Infinity Stylus, one of the best-selling cameras in history.Orange County, CA - The Business Development Manager (BDM) maximizes cost per reportable (CPR) and cost per billable (CPB) profit and achieves reagent revenue budget, within an assigned geographical area. The BDM customers are all instrument placements, including hospital accounts, national accounts and privately-held laboratories. The BDM optimizes the profit of CPR and CPB contracts by recommending, implementing and monitoring effective operating efficiencies. Sells reagents to customers in the assigned territory. Advocates and details reagents to distributor sales and their customers. Works with Instrument Sales in high-value target accounts to assist in closing the instrument sale and maximizing future reagent revenue opportunities. Serves as a point of contact to facilitate long-term customer care and support. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) A minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory environment or the equivalent function in a diagnostic field is required. Familiarity with laboratory automation, chemistry and drugs of abuse instrumentation and reagents is required. Knowledge of basic cost accounting and productivity measurement is required. Must have excellent sales and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must be able to work independently, make decisions and implement programs. Strong computer skills are required. Must be willing to accept extensive business travel (approximately 50 to 75%). A Bachelor's degree in the healthcare field (Science or Medical Technology) is required.
