Area Sales Director, Hospital Sales
Omron Healthcare, Inc., a growing $140 million division of a Japanese medical device company has an open position for an Area Sales Director, Hospital Sales.
Omron Healthcare recently acquired Colin Medical Sales with targeted products for the hospital and professional clinic channels. This position is responsible for managing Territory Sales ManagerS in the West and Southwest for maximum market penetration and growth. Reports to the National Sales Manager, Hospital Sales.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for territory managers to increase brand sales of vital signs monitors in the Hospital Market.
•Call directly on potential customers and maintain existing customer relationships while also managing a direct territory (AZ, Las Vegas Area, UT, and CO).
•Increase Brand Awareness and Customer Loyalty.
•Ability to make persuasive presentations to executives as well as bio-meds.
•Install, in-service, and provide a high level of customer service to the entire hospital and support staff ensuring competency and satisfaction in all clinical accounts.
•Meet monthly sales goals and develop a quarterly sales strategy report to develop new product placements and increase revenue.
•Foster a healthy collaboration with territory managers as well hospitals directly.
•Implements strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.
•Maintain an updated customer database via Omron’s Salesforce.com.
•Utilize supportive materials to present quality sales presentations in targeted hospital groups, trade shows, and medical conferences.
•Position requires at least 50% travel .
•Must be organized, detail oriented and self motivated.
•Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
•Interface with customer service, marketing, and technical support on a daily basis.
•Must possess a good background in and exhibit a strong comfort level with the clinical end user contact and must be familiar with the hospital environment – competent to call on multiple key departments.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
B.S. preferred, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:5 years in capital equipment medical device sales experience in hospitals and clinics with at least 2 years management experience and a strong desire to learn and lead.
BACKGROUND PREFERRED:
We need a person that has strong contacts within hospitals and clinics, knowledge of the medical/surgical department, great hospital relationships, surgical center expertise and a desire to lead.
SKILLS:
Excellent people skills in professional relationship building and networking, with strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to interact effectively with healthcare professional in hospital and the clinic settings. Good technical knowledge of physiology/anatomy. Strong management focused individual.
REQUIREMENTS:
Record of successful sales accomplishments in a technical selling environment with a multi-state territory managing a large hospital customer base.
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:
Up to $65,000 Base Salary with Bonus and Commission target; $500 monthly auto allowance. Complete benefits package including 401(k) with match and profit sharing.
