Analyst - Financial/Business Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support for the Finance team and all operations of MILA, Inc. Working with Finance management, the Financial Analyst will develop and maintain financial, operating and other analyses of MILA performance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Work with Finance team to generate and maintain Management Performance Reports•Continually suggest and enhance the package to improve understanding of operating and financial performance•Migrate reports to a more automated platform of Great Plains, Business Objects, and other tools as provided
•Collaborate with Finance and other MILA associates to develop and maintain analytical tools to enhance MILA performance, including but not limited to:Staffing and sales force performance
Sales
State and broker profitability
Production
Risk management
Operations
Product pricing•Support Finance team in furthering integration of Great Plains accounting package with other MILA systems, to further automate accounting and financial reporting
•Support Finance personnel for all analytical needs
•Accounting process improvement
•Develop ad-hoc analysis of future strategic, capital and other opportunities.
•Other duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•Undergraduate degree in business administration, preferably in financial or statistical analysis•MBA/CFA or combination of both preferred
•5 years experience in financial analysis, statistics or detailed profitability analysis•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of corporate information
•Excellent computer skills including demonstrated Excel skills
•Experience with Great Plains
•Advanced Business Objects report writing
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Mortgage banking experience is preferred
•Self-starter – ability to own the position and responsibilities
•Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and work overtime hours when needed
