Public Works Department Perform highly responsible supervisory, administrative, technical, and managerial work involving the Pierce County Wastewater Treatment facility, biosolids fertilizer manufacturing plant, and reclaimed water. Serves as the principle individual responsible for the above mentioned areas and is legally responsible under Washington Admin Code for operation of the Wastewater Treatment facility in compliance with State National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. Requires Twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years experience in Wastewater Treatment plants, ten (10) of which must be in a supervisory position of a Secondary Wastewater Treatment Plant. A degree from a four year college or university with major course work in Environmental Sciences, Biology Management or related courses is desired. Individual must possess a valid State of Washington Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator IV License and a valid Washington State Driver's License.
