Technical Services Specialist

Cambridge Scientific is currently seeking Technical Services Specialists to work directly for a biotechnology company in Frederick, MD!

Responsibilities include:
Provide technical information about products to sales representatives and customers by telephone, by e-mail and fax.
Answer customer inquiries concerning technical questions and provide troubleshooting assistance
Handle/investigate customer complaints including: writing P.I.R.s, contacting QC to request product testing, and contacting customers with follow-up information.
Maintain computer log of incoming calls.
Disseminate information to sales representatives about specific customers’ needs.
Maintain files and documentation.
Attend and participate in product group meetings to keep group informed of complaint trends
Occasionally participate in workshops and seminars.
Initiate paperwork for special cell productions when necessary.
Train new sales representatives, customers, and distributors.
Review and develop product literature; develop training material
Provide lab support for new R&D projects, LAL product performance evaluations, protocol development, and complaint investigations as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Biological sciences.
Minimum of 1 year experience preferred; will consider entry level candidates.
Knowledge of cell systems, morphology, aseptic laboratory techniques, tissue culture, endotoxin detection products and/or familiarity with laboratory testing procedures preferred.
Knowledge of Cell Biology preferred.
Knowledge of GMP/ISO Compliance desired.
Written and oral communication to include accurate and legible documentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team oriented, independent work skills and a strong work ethic.
Microsoft Office, database management, organization skills, record keeping and ability to handle multiple projects.
