Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for the integration of various SAP initiatives or be a project manager as part of a large-scale SAP project. He/she will partner with our customers to understand current and future business requirements, assess existing IT infrastructure, business practices and business objectives to identify gaps and opportunities. The incumbent will be accountable for release management of multiple initiatives and/or development and execution of SAP projects, including post go-live support. He/she will manage a consistent PM methodology based on ASAP and integrating the successful execution into the various projects, as well as develop detailed project plans. The candidate will allocate tasks to the project team and monitor quality and timeliness of required deliverables. He/she will track key project milestones and adjust plans and/or resources to meet project requirements. The incumbent will ensure alignment of project planning methodology with strategic PMO, as well as develop and partner with overall PMO the methodology, tools and templates to be used by the SAP implementation projects, aligned with the SDLC PLC group. He/she will ensure standards are adhered to, enhanced and maintained. The candidate will communicate project status and issues for resolution to appropriate steering and oversight committees. He/she will report project status to the Senior Program Director strategic PMO, as well as manage scope creep through tight scope control procedures. The incumbent will approve all project expenditures and monitor actual versus budget to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects. He/she will perform quality reviews and escalate project issues as appropriate. The candidate will work closely with the Validation and Corporate QA teams to ensure that compliance requirements are met. He/she will establish and monitor compliance with standards for documentation, data and training. The incumbent will document lessons learned following project completion and shares results with management, as well as maintain responsibility for team leadership and team building. The candidate will develop and support the SAP project governance process with customers and CIT. He/she will manage cross-project releases and integrate timelines as well as usage of system resources.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of five years of experience as an IT is required. The candidate must possess experience in successfully managing teams of business and technical resources, as well as experience in building Information Systems and IT Infrastructure with partners and vendors. The ability to drive the project from start to finish (multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations) is essential. Experience with the SAP 4.7 PP, PM, MM, FI, SCM (APO) and BW is a must. Experience with project management best practices, including software development (SDLC) and standard project management methodologies, is required. The incumbent should have experience in assembling and mobilizing project team from various departments. He/she must possess extremely strong leadership, people and negotiating skills. Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability to implement systems projects on-time and on-budget is required. The ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environment is a must. Experience with validated or controlled IT environments is essential. Pharmaceutical biotechnology experience and PMP certification are preferred.
