Senior Chemist

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Chemist with a biotech/biomed company located in the city of Irvine!!

Scope/Purpose of Position:
The Senior Chemist reports to the Laboratory Manager and supports the Laboratories Services Group for all chemistry operations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Schedule daily activities, ensure that testing is performed to support manufacturing activities.

Oversee Validations/qualifications of analytical methods for use by the chemical group.

Ensure that the lab is aware of changes in regulations and the lab stays in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Assist in the performance of internal and external audits, both as an auditor and as an auditee.

Ensure that Chem Lab Associates receive appropriate training to perform their duties.

Ensure that a clean and safe working environment is maintained.

Provide technical support to other departments as required.

Any and all other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

Experience:

BS in Chemistry or related field.

Must have 5-10 years experience in a QA Chemistry Lab.

Possess knowledge of the Quality System and ISO requirements.

Experience with managing projects and people.

Specific knowledge of sterilization regulations (EO Validation experience and assay validation).

Excellent written/oral communication skills

Computer knowledge (excel, word, project).

Audit training desired, not essential.
