Senior Biomolecular Scientist

Mitretek Systems is a non-profit research and engineering company operating solely in the public interest. We are seeking experienced scientists for government consulting positions. These are not laboratory-based positions - while research, technical, and laboratory experience are required, successful candidates will be interested in a departure from laboratory work.
REQUIREMENTS
A PhD in the biological sciences and significant post-graduate experience are strongly desired. The successful candidates will be open-minded, broadly experienced biological scientists who are adept with traditional and state-of-the-art tools in molecular biology, microbiology, and biosensors. Specific knowledge and experience in field sample collection, field stabilization and laboratory analysis of signatures of potential biological warfare agents is a considerable advantage. The ability to think independently, team well with others, provide primary, novel technical guidance, present unbiased evaluations of complex data and analysis, and employ superior technical writing and presentation skills are prerequisites. Position requires US Citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
