Sales & Marketing Analyst
SAFC Biosciences has a long history in the cell culture products and reagents industry, spanning three decades, under different names. Customers have been a focus throughout our history, just as developing and manufacturing cell culture products such as animal sera, dry powder media, liquid media and supplements have been. Product development activities continue to expand our portfolio of serum-free media for use with a diverse range of cell lines. Customers and progressive products and services remain our focus today.
1. Customer Analysis – Develop customer insight by analyzing disparate data sources such as SAP and CRM, enabling more effective acquisition and retention efforts. This could include product usage, vendor/customer interactions, service levels, and supply chain effeciency.
2. Pipeline – Monitor the worlwide pipeline of biotechnology-based drugs. Maintain a central database and track SAFC Biosciences penetration as a supplier into this pipeline.
3. Market Analysis – Identify revenue trends and reconcile to third party market research. Identify regional, product, and/or customer segments that are departing from worldwide market trends. Segment customers and prospects and develop leads.
4. Contacts – Develop methods for maintaining a CRM-based contact database. Implement process controls and reporting parameters to ensure mailable contacts.
5. Executive Information – Prepare an inclusive monthly business performance assessment (i.e. analysis and reports) for Executive Management, Sales, and Marketing.
6. Other job-related duties as required.

Qualified Candidates Must Have:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, MIS, Statistics/Applid Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or 2+ years as a business analyst, report administrator, systems analyst, or combination of education and experience.
2.Experience with one or more languages (SAS, JavaScript, Perl, COBOL, etc.),
3.Experience with one or more databases (Access, Foxpro, SQL Server, DB2, etc.)
4.Experience with one or more analysis or reporting software packages (any OLAP, Cognos, Platinum, Business Objects, etc.)
5.Strong Excel skills.
6.Business Acumen.
7.Maturity to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
8.Effective communications skills, written and verbal.
9.Strong analytical skills with ability for strategic, contextual understanding.
10.Good organizational, problem solving and project management skills
11.Willingness and ability to learn biotechnology industry and data base programming skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1.Demonstrated knowledge of biology, cell culture, or media/serum industry.
2.Experience performing CRM or customer touchpoint analysis.
3.Extensive knowledge of SAS and SQL.
4.Agency or consulting experience working in Sales or Marketing functions.
