Research Associate

Job Description This position within the Protein Engineering department will be responsible for cloning, expressing, purifying, and assaying antibodies for both biochemical and biological properties. The successful candidate will perform complex experiments with minimal supervision, and work independently under broad objectives. The principal duties and responsibilities include: cloning, constructing plasmids and antibody libraries and cell lines for expression of recombinant antibodies for in vitro and in vivo characterization; biochemical and biological assays such as ELISA , flow cytometry, and other cell-based assays ; performing critical analysis of data, interpreting results, communicating scientific conclusions, presenting data at lab meetings, maintaining lab notebooks, and contributing to the preparation of technical reports, manuscripts and patent applications.
