Reliability/Total Productive Maintenance EngineerJob Title:Reliability/Total Productive Maintenance/ EngineerJob Purpose: Provide expertise on Maintenance Engineering and the application of Total Productive Maintenance philosophies. Provide technical expertise within a specialty field(s). Essential Functions: ·Supports the Irvine manufacturing business units, Engineering, and QA/QC. ·Applies knowledge and experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes such as Total Productive Maintenance, Visual Factory Management, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, SMED (Quick Changeover), Mistake-proofing, Kaizen Blitz.·Research, develop and prepare specifications for improvements to existing and/or new products, processes, equipment, and technology.·Support projects by contributing to the development of engineering solutions, project schedules, tracking costs, preparing status reports, conducting team meetings, attending team meetings, communicating issues and progress to management. Prepare RCI’s including project description, schedule, and costs. ·Prepare and present technical investigative reports to middle level management.·Moderate degree of both internal and external personnel interfaces.·Preparation of specifications and protocols for the development, testing and qualification of equipment, processes and products.·Communicate, both verbally and written, project activities to supervisor.Required: BS degree in Engineering with at least 3-8 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering position or equivalent degree/experience. ·The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and demonstrated experience in implementing Total Productive Maintenance, preventative maintenance, and/or predictive maintenance. The candidate will need to be adaptable to a dynamic environment while understanding the challenges and rewards of implementing Total Productive Maintenance philosophies.·The ideal candidate will also understand and have experience working with maintenance management systems such as MSR, SAP, and Proteus. This job includes the responsibility of improving our maintenance management systems.·Knowledge and demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes such as Visual Factory Management, Value Stream Mapping, 6S SMED (Quick Changeover), Mistake-proofing, Kaizen Blitz is a plus.·Ability to perform cost analysis and line efficiency reporting of manufacturing lines and products.·Leadership and team management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a individuals possessing varying degrees of education, experience, and knowledge from Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Regulatory Compliance. Must possess effective “people skills”.·Communication skills both verbal and written commensurable with all levels within Irvine plant.·Demonstrated knowledge with Maintenance or Equipment Reliability Engineering.·Experience in software packages such as spreadsheets and word processors, and computer maintenance management systems.·Ability to write specifications, protocols, and reports for development, testing, processes, and products.·Ability to analyze, investigate, and propose approaches to technical issues within the individuals specialty(s) area.·cGMP knowledge applicable to individual’s specialty area a plus. Job Purpose:
