Quality Manager / Infection Control Nurse

A progressive, Long-Term Acute Care, community-oriented hospital in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Quality Manager / Infection Control Nurse to provide leadership and operational expertise.

This candidate will be responsible for implementing, facilitating, and coordinating the ongoing, hospital-wide Quality Improvement Program to assure compliance with JCAHO and other healthcare accrediting standards; as well as the Infection Control, and Risk Management programs targeted to enhance the quality of patient care consistent with hospital policies.

Successful candidates must be able to work collegially with other clinical disciplines and admitting physicians; possess a progressive situational leadership style to enhance clinical team functioning; prior critical care experience; and have prior experience in acute care hospital management.
REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates MUST possess the following mandatory skills:

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (Masters preferred)
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
APIC Certification
Minimum three (3) years exp. as staff nurse or team leader preferred
Previous experience in Quality Management and/or Infection Control in a hospital setting
Formal education and/or documented experience in epidemiological principles, microbiology, patient care practice, and infectious diseases
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
