INSTITUTIONAL DIABETES CARE SPECIALIST

PURPOSE:
Effectively promote NNI products to selected key academic centers, large community hospitals and high prescribing physician offices (quintile 4 and 5 doctors) within an assigned district according to Marketing and Sales strategies. Assume responsibility for achieving sales goals for Novo Nordisk promoted product sales within the assigned district by effectively communicating appropriate product messages to key physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other paramedical customers that are involved in purchasing and prescribing decisions.
Key goals are: Achieve formulary status, drive adoption of key products within targeted hospital and office setting, develop KOLs, and position Novo Nordisk as the leading company in diabetes in institution setting (intern, residence and fellows).
RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the District Business Manager of the specific sales territory being covered and will interact on a regular basis with other field-based employees covering the same geographic areas. This position also will assist and mentor local professional sales representatives with their local community hospital initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
3 years of pharmaceuticals sales experience required. Incumbents must also possess a general knowledge of and exposure to hospital sales experience.
Expert knowledge of Diabetes disease state, a plus.
Must have a consistent proven track record of winning sales results.
Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel).
Prior computer experience using sales data reporting software required
