Molecular/Cell Biologist

Lead and participate in the development and evaluation of biological sensors, investigate host-pathogen interactions, and characterize pathogens. Duties: Lead biological R&D projects. Collaborate on biosensor projects. Document investigations, report results in presentations and publications. Participate in sponsor interactions and writing proposals.
REQUIREMENTS
Required: Ph.D. in cell or molecular biology or related fields; 5 to 10 years experience in the area of biological detection or pathogen characterization; knowledge of standard assays for molecular characterization; knowledge and experience in cell culture techniques; experience in separation/purification methods; knowledge of bacterial and viral properties; knowledge of biosafety procedures. Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills, both written documentation and oral presentations. Desired: Experience in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry techniques. Demonstrated success in obtaining external funding for R&D.
