Microbiologist

Responsibilities:
Performs routine Microbiology lab testing relating to Finished Product, Stability and Raw Material, such as Sterility test, Bacterial Endotoxin test, Particulate Matter test, Particle Sizing, Microbial Limits and Bioburden test.
Supports validation activities.
Supports media preparation by performing Growth Promotion.
Performs and documents the results of the bulk Bioburden test.
Monitors the Microbiological quality of the water systems.
Performs recertification of clean rooms and plant systems.
Reviews equipment charts for specification compliance.
Performs trending of the Water for Injection systems.
Prepares and maintains stock cultures and identifies isolates.
Assures that all lab equipment are calibrated.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
B.S. in Microbiology or related Sciences with at least two years of course work in Microbiology.
One to two years of experience working in a Microbiology lab in an aseptic processing or related industry.
Knowledge of lab equipment and operation.
Knowledge of USP microbiological tests, cGMPs and GLP.
Computer skills.
Team player.
