Modified Polymer Components develops largely MEDICAL components to meet our MEDICAL DEVICE AND DIAGNOSTIC INDUSTRY customer’s demanding requirements. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative hard working Mechanical Engineer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
AutoCAD or Solidworks rendering
machine design
die design
tool and fixture design
troubleshooting
minor electrical setup
pneumatic system setup
process development
and complete documentation packet creation

Development engineers are expected to handle multiple projects at one time, work well with the team and are given the opportunity to interact directly with customers. Modified Polymer Components manufactures custom components for the Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry.

Qualifying Skills:
Good understanding of plastics and polymer technologyMechanical aptitude with cylinder actuators, rails, air solenoids, meters, ovens, and hand toolsAble to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances on part drawingsComputer manufacturing system and PLC devices literateAdept with measuring devices – optical comparator, caliper, snap gages, etcWrite and edit written procedures and manualsMachining Skills
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a contract manufacturing environmentCreative, simple design experience
Excellent problem solving skillsHigh capacity for multitasking
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or at least 5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
