Job Title: Manager - IT - Manufacturing Applications

Job Description:

The Manager will report to the Director of IT and lead a team of technical experts to develop and realize strategies for business process automation and data integration. Provide operation support and enhancement for validated solutions. Develop custom applications and interfaces using tiered architectures, Java, .NET, HTML / ASP / XML and relational database server technologies like SQL Server, Oracle.

. Responsibilities include promoting and realizing harmonized site-wide strategies for security, application integration and business data relations, storage and access.

. Designing custom solutions and/or identifying commercially available IT technologies to satisfy business automation needs.

. developing and maintaining standard business application configurations.

. Managing and maintaining existing applications and application interfaces, data warehouses, portal and data reporting needs.

. Developing and maintaining all necessary lifecycle processes to ensure on-going system viability, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

. Experience in managing small to large projects in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments is required.

. Experience maintaining business applications and associated validation portfolios in an FDA regulated environment and across the system lifecycle from conception to retirement is required.

40% Provide Dept. Supervision: Supervise the department of 4 IT developers and analysts

40 %: Project Management: Manage Technical aspects of SAP project worth 5 – 10 $ Million.

20% Interface with Management and others: Interface with internal customers etc. REQUIREMENTS


Candidate Must Have:

· BS in Computer Engineering/science or technical emphasis is required.

· 7 + years of experience of IT systems in manufacturing applications.

· 3 + years experience with IT project and department management

· Excellent people, project and communication skills

· Ability to work in a matrix team, with corporate, project mgmt, business groups, vendors etc.

Nice to have:

· Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience.

· SAP modules like PM - maintenance, PP – Prod Planning, WM – warehouse, MM – Materials

· Process Automation like Delta V DCS, A/B PLC, HMI and Pi, OSI - MES systems

· Lab Automation like LIMS - Labware, Empower, Data Chromatography systems etc.

· Computer validation and compliance to FDA regulations

· IT Project management experience with complex systems worth 5 - 10 $ Million.
· Java, .NET, HTML / ASP / XML and databases like Sequel Server, Oracle.

Location: Richmond, VA Relocation: Yes Travel: 5%

Compensation: Salary of $100K - $130K + 20 % Target Bonus
