Clinical Statistician

Volt Life Sciences is currently recruiting for a contract Clinical Statistician with a major pharmaceutical company in California.
The Clinical Statistician will be responsible for statistical support for design and analysis of clinical trial issues in the Oncology therapeutic area.
Job Responsibilities include:Collaborate with clinicians, scientists, and managers as a member of project teams
Advise project teams on statistical matters related to product development
Contribute the statistical design elements of clinical trials protocols
Devise and communicate analysis plans for interim and final reporting of clinical trials
Obtain understanding and endorsement of analysis plans from management teams
Work with other team members to execute the analysis plans
Contribute to CRF design to ensure that appropriate data are collected appropriately
Work with data base managers to ensure that data handling and coding will support the planned statistical analyses
Work with statistical programmers to write the software to carry out the planned analyses of clinical trials data
Contribute descriptions of the statistical methods and statistical interpretation of results to regulatory reports of clinical trials
Conduct and interpret analyses of data
Summarize data analytic findings orally and in memos and scientific papers
Present the results of clinical trials to individuals or groups
Perform literature searches
Contribute to in-house statistical working groups and learning events
Collaborate in the data analysis, writing, and reviewing process for non-statistical, e.g. clinical, articles for external journals
Manage competing priorities
Stay current with relevant regulatory guidance

Requirements:

Requirements:
Masters Degree in Statistics or Biostatistics with three years experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field is desired.
Previous related experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, and strong communication skills are required.
Programming experience in statistical applications required.
Familiarity with pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology required.
Candidate must have Oncology experience.
