REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
This is a full-time director level (associate or senior director designations depending on experience) field-based position. The qualified candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of cardiovascular disease including basic electrophysiology. An understanding of clinical cardiology and current practice trends in cardiology is essential. In addition, an understanding and or prior experience with managed care is desired.
Field physicians will function as a field-based arm of Medical Affairs and will be instrumental in presenting product-related clinical information for both internal and external customers. This position supports and works in parallel with the current Medical Science Liaisons and the home office Medical Affairs Group. ·
Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with post graduate training in cardiovascular disease or a cardiovascular oriented subspecialty (e.g. nephrology, endocrinology, cardiothoracic surgery, internal medicine, etc.).
· At least 3-5 years post graduate experience in cardiovascular disease in either an academic, clinical, industry, or managed care setting.
· Strong clinical skills with a thorough understanding of the management of patients with cardiovascular disease. Direct cardiovascular patients care experience is preferred.
· Understanding of the legal/regulatory requirements and guidelines regarding medical communication in the pharmaceutical industry
· Excellent verbal and inter-personal communication and presentation skills
· Excellent project management skills and written documentation skills
· Computer literacy
