Associate Chemist

Immediate opportunity for an Associate Chemist with a leading biomedical company located in the Irvine area!

Monday- Friday, 1st shift
Contract, potential temp-to-hire


Perform chemical lab operations in one or more of the following areas: analytical method development, formulations development, material qualification, and stability pertaining to the development of new intravenous drug products.

Performs, schedules and coordinates a wide variety of testing in the analytical lab

Performs final review of test data/reports to ensure conformance to the established specifications and other related SOP's.

Assists in the review of technical reports and to ensure that lab practices are consistent with current industry and regulatory requirements.

Assists in preparation of protocols and technical reports for development and validating new product/process development.

Evaluates technical problems and provides recommendation for corrective actions.

Interfaces with a wide variety of disciplines.

Designs, conducts and evaluates scientific studies to develop and/or validate test methods.

Assists in review and/or develops specifications for new components and products for suitability with manufacturing systems.

Experience:

BA/BS degree in related science

2+ years experience in analytical development, formulation development, or QA/QC organizations in a pharmaceutical/medical device company

Statistics and measurement theory

Strong knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, and environmental regulations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good analytical skills
