Vice President, Real Estate ManagementIn this role, you will plan, direct and control the activities of one or more assigned business units to ensure timely and accurate processing of the business unit's work. Responsibilities will include managing, evaluating/developing personnel and designing/implementing procedures and efficiency producing measures, in addition to reviewing procedures submitted by direct reports to verify compliance with changes in investor, servicing and legal requirements. You will be relied upon to maintain a working knowledge of legal requirements for all states/processes that affect the assigned business unit(s). Involves preparing business plans/budgets and ensuring that the business unit goals/budgets are met, along with reviewing/approving recommendations from junior managers in complex cases where litigation is a risk. Incumbent will work with legal counsel to resolve issues, prepare performance evaluations and manage salary administration, vendor management, customer relations management and customer retention activities. Other duties will include performing some marketing activities such as attending conferences and on-site customer visits.Requires a college degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance or related field and 7+ years experience in increasingly responsible positions, preferably in a mortgage/banking, insurance or related area. Some experience in Business Planning and Budgeting is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of all related legal and technical issues, familiarity with investor/insurer servicing guidelines and proficiency in business related software such as Excel and Access in a Windows environment. The team player we seek must be able to write job descriptions, evaluate performance, motivate, coach, train and handle all personnel issues of staff, in addition to forming staff into an effective, successful team. Strong comprehension, listening, negotiating, presentation and communication skills are essential, along with self-motivation, detail orientation and the ability to multitask.
