Treasury Operations Administrative Analyst
Primarily responsible for daily operational management and execution of all electronic loan funding disbursements. Operates and monitors all Treasury funding systems and procedures to efficiently and securely process loan fundings. Works closely with the production divisions and Corporate Accounting, responding to inquiries, clearing exceptions, and providing timely and accurate reporting of returned/rejected wires and funding account reconcilement. Trains Treasury personnel on loan funding disbursement procedures. Also involves managing the importing of files/information from various systems into TLC, clear exceptions, batch wires and transmit to bank for release to closing agents. Must continually re-prioritize the work throughout each day in order to meet the varying needs of the divisions and bank/Federal Reserve deadlines. Duties include the review and approve/deny documentation for Countrywide Warehouse Lending's closing agent verification and compliance approval processes. Perform review of data to ensure compliance with good funds laws which vary by State. Will back up bank wire systems, import wire confirmations from bank, download wire confirmation information to AS400. Order various bank reports and reconcile activity on multiple funding accounts. Report information to various departments and solve any related problems. Initiate systems and batches for the next day's fundings, ensuring timely fundings for East Coast closings. Start "Auto Bankpull" and monitor on a regular basis.
Ensures minimal disruption in flow of wires and notifies appropriate Treasury management, systems personnel, Electronic Distribution Services, production divisions and bank whenever problems occur.
Requires 2-year college degree or equivalent experience. College course work with an emphasis on Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related subject, preferred. Effective interpersonal communication skills are essential. Proficiency with such current computer software as Loan Servicing/Treasury software, software to run on the AS400, Excel, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, e.g., including the ability to multi-task, required. Knowledge of department and corporate standard accounting policies, procedures and practices a must. Knowledge of the laws regulating cash transactions within the mortgage lending and financial services industries is also required. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a bank wire room, corporate treasury/wire department, or equivalent experience in a high-volume accounts payable/receivable transactions environment. Mortgage banking experience preferred.
