Treasury Analyst

Responsibilities:The Treasury Analyst is responsible for daily management of over $500 million in customer related cash flows over 30+ products and several banks. He/she will interact with the Manager of Treasury Operations, the Treasury team, internal business departments, and external vendor relationships to manage and all duties related to Brokerage Treasury cash management. The Treasury Analyst also performs financial analysis and handles ad-hoc projects as required by the Treasury Operations Manager.Responsibilities Include the Following:Managing the daily cash activities including estimates, calculation of net cash position, analysis of bank activity and assessment of investing/borrowing activity
Coordinating with internal business divisions (not limited to Stock Loan, Stock Record, Cash Management, and Settlements) to track and project cash flows to meet funding requirements
Successfully managing !
day-to-day RVP/DVP trades (fails) with DTC/NSCC in conjunction with the settlements division
Effectively coordinating daily wire transfers and journal entries on back-office (ADP) and treasury operating (Resource IQ) systems
Performing daily reconciliation on major operating accounts between bank and back- office
Interacting with bank relationships to establish lines of credit, overnight REPO, and reserve accounts
Providing support with cash management application programs, bank software, and the treasury workstation
Maintaining consistent communication with Regulatory Reporting to ensure efficiency between Internal & External auditing
Establishing and maintaining the Business Continuity Plan to effectively identify system and resource contingency procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:-Minimum of two years in Treasury or cash management, preferable in the brokerage or financial services industry
-Knowledge of brokerage settlements is a plus
-Should be a strong team player with exemplary communication and excellent problem solving skills
-Should have a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word. (Knowledge of Treasury Workstation preferred). Access and Excel related programming skills are a plus
-Must possess strong analytical ability with attention to detail-Must have ability to prioritize and multi-task initiatives
