Treasury Analyst

General Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the Treasury functions of the company involving approximately $3 billion in debt that includes variable and fixed rates, secured and unsecured debt, swaps, and preferred equity. Included in these responsibilities is ensuring compliance with debt covenants and joint venture financing agreements, an understanding of interest rate hedging, and management of short-term and long-term cash flows. This position is also responsible for Treasury-related disclosures in SEC filings as well as rating agency reporting. Candidate must possess strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. This position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage Treasury Department and all related functions:

•Manage group of 5 professionals
•Create monthly and ad-hoc reporting on all aspects of Treasury function for strategic planning of Treasury issues
•Enhance compliance process
•Provide short and long term cash needs forecasting and proactively advise senior management of financing mix to achieve key performance targets
•Assist with interest rate hedging
•Ensure effective investment of short and long term cash balances
•Manage relationships with our key line banks

Customer/Co-worker Relationships:

Will have significant independent contact with Company CFO; will need to communicate effectively with Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, 3rd party lenders, auditors, joint venture partners, and legal group.


Education and Experience:

•Degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA and/or MBA a plus.
•At least 5–8 years of related treasury experience, supervisory experience required
•Excellent analytical and communication skills
•Ability to work well in multi-task setting
•Strong computer skills
