JOB SUMMARY:
The Training & Development Specialist II is responsible for the analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of performance improvement solutions in support of all areas of operations. Accountable for delivering timely and accurate deliverables against desired performance objectives. Also responsible for project management, resource utilization and project-based financial management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Develops relationships and a working knowledge of assigned functional areas. Focuses on knowledge of business strategies, organization and environment, workflow and job functions. Forms collaborative partnerships centered on maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the individuals and the organization. Strives to be a "business partner".
Collaboratively conducts analyses to determine performance development, improvement, and supports requirements within assigned functional areas. Collaborates with teammates, functional area, and PA Manager to ensure integration. Develops long and short-range strategic plans targeted to support the accomplishment of critical business goals, and strategies.
Manages the development of performance improvement solutions. Development timeliness; maps project actuals against budget; communicates project status to key project customers. Manages required internal & external resources.
Designs deliverable to meet critical, measurable performance objectives. Defines learning activities and determines appropriate delivery mechanism/media to meet objectives.
Develops and manages the development of complete, accurate, and timely training tools and information critical to the achievement of business goals and objectives. Facilitates, leads, delivers and monitors performance improvement solutions as appropriate, including train the trainer.
Develops and implements evaluation and proficiency assessments to ensure effectiveness of performance improvement programs; includes development of evaluation tools to determine impact on the business. Maintains data to report against individual performance objectives, indicators/metrics.

Education:
High School Diploma
Licensure/Certification:
Valid CA Pharmacy Technician License
Experience:
Two to seven years of proven experience in a corporate education/training staff or equivalent experience in design of curricula, training or performance improvement programs.
Experience in identifying and assessing performance/training needs and in designing and conducting programs for a variety of job functions.
Health Care or insurance industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Requires a broad range of performance improvement, techniques, methods, theories, processes, tools and programs.
Proficient in basic PC, word processing, spreadsheet and database management.
Proficient in use of reference materials.
