Trading Assistant

One of the nation’s leading Investment Banking firms has an immediate opening for a Trading Assistant in their Downtown Denver office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and inter-personal skills, and be able to succinctly express complex ideas. The position requires the applicant to be goal and detail oriented. Responsibilities:
•Develop a database to track, sort, and disseminate pertinent information for all real-time trades
•Develop a database which consists of all customer portfolios and is easy to access, sort, and search in a timely manner
•Electronic (via Bloomberg) & physical dissemination of new offerings
•Ensure inventory system (Beta) par amounts agree with trader cards and that all items are priced
•Execute, enter, & confirm transactions for Traders
•Maintain portfolio database (Perform) for Sales Force in satellite offices
•Produce & distribute daily profit, loss, and mark-to-market report for trader & syndicate accounts.
•Confirm, enter, & compare futures transactions with Floor Brokers at the CBOT
•Produce & maintain posting sheets, internal transactions, and MSRB trades
•Relay offering, bids, and bids wanted from Brokers to Traders & Sales Force
•Distribute customer bids wanted from satellite offices to Traders
•Maintain several transaction databases for Trading Desk
•Maintain & distribute a Master Account Inquiry List
•Execute gross commission and/or profit/loss transfers for Traders
•Update trades, new offerings, inventory price changes, and overall par amount
•Additional duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a Concentration in Finance or Computer Information Systems required
•Coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics & Statistics, Political Science and Economics
•2-4 years of related experience
•Ability to work in a high-pressure, time constrained environment
•Excellent finance, math and reasoning skills
•Superior computer skills including MS Word, Excl and PowerPoint
