Full Job Title: Systems Engineer - Interfaces - DEEI-V Skills Management Title Systems EngineeringJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: As a member of the National Team, the DEEI-V Systems Engineer will assist in interface development, planning and a phased implementation of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) internal and external interfaces while representing the National Team Systems (NTS) Engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for working with System Engineering Team and Element Program focals to put together details of Systems interfaces, including details of interfaces to support current and proposed BMDS functionality and Element architectures. The engineer will also directly support interface design documentation development, information exchange requirements development, and related 'use case/sequence activity diagram' development. Your primary focus will be in support of the development of deliverable Systems Engineering products and plans, assessments of changes to the baseline while identifying alternative methods and solutions in order to maintain technical content and schedule. You will also provide insight and guidance leading to the successful assessment of the BMDS. Competencies REQUIRED: The desired candidate must have knowledge of System Engineering interface documentation, interface design and implementation specifications with an emphasis placed upon requirements development for interfaces supporting representative battle management and command and control functions and their associated information exchange requirements tied to specified performance metrics. PREFERRED: The preferred candidate should have strong social and presentation skills and be able to perform in a fluid team environment. They should also possess familiarity of requirements management in DOORS and System Architect or similar information architecture tools, messaging (i.e. Link 16/ TADIL J/TDL, VMF, XML), Missile Defense or one of the BMDS Element Programs (i.e. Aegis, GMD, ABL, THAAD, Patriot, DSP, SBIRS).Notes: OTHER: Applicants selected should have a current SECRET clearance, will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for accessing classified information. **Please indicate your current Security Clearance status and last date of review clearly on your resume.**
