Staff Accountant summary:

Our client, a leading media firm in the Los Angeles area, is currently seeking to hire a Staff Accountant on a contract basis. This position is responsible for preparing monthly journals, account analysis, reconciliation and investigation of various invoice coding corrections and distribution of monthly financial reports.

Staff Accountant is responsible for:
Preparing monthly journals, account analyses and account
reconciliations.
Preparing and maintaining various spreadsheets and databases.
Reviewing invoices and reconciles discrepancies.
Administering accounting policies and procedures
Implementing and maintaining project tracking database.
Preparing presentations and other special projects as necessary.
Assisting with various financial projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Skills and Characteristics:
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet timelines are essential.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are necessary to interface effectively with staff, department management and various other internal and external parties.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.Requirements:
This position requires a college degree in accounting or finance.
Experience in accounting or finance, preferably with a Fortune 500 company.
Public accounting experience is a plus.
