Sr. Operations Research Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Relocation assistance will be provided)This is a Senior Operations Analyst position within the Capacity and Resource Planning Team of the Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Group. The successful candidate will partner with senior managers, help develop operating strategy, and provide guidance to the executive leadership team regarding important resource management decisions. S/he will organize and lead the Capacity Planning Management Process on behalf of the Customer Fulfillment and Servicing Operations. The successful candidate will have strong business skills (relationship management, project management, business planning), and outstanding technical/analytical skills (quantitative modeling, analytics, programming).The Senior Operations Analyst will play an influential role in the design and development of the next generation capacity planning and scheduling tools for our fulfillment and servicing operations. This individual will also work extensively with Information Management (MIS) and serve as an important liaison between the Capacity Planning Team and other technology groups within Wells Fargo.
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum Qualifications:(1) Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, succinct terms; ability to establish strong partnerships with various colleagues and work independently on projects as an internal consultant; strong customer-focus.
(2) Solid understanding of stochastic processes and queuing theory and application of these theories in a call center or similar operation environment.
(3) Experience in solving scheduling related problems using both analytical approach as well as simulation approach.
(4) Advanced skills in Excel and at least a programming language such as C, C++, Visual Basic, etc.
(5) 5-10 years of relevant experience.
(6) MBA, MS, or PhD degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Science, Business, Operations Research, or related fields.
(7) Must have authorization to work in the United States.
* Preferred Skills:(1) Experience in Resource Management, including staff planning and capacity planning, is strongly preferred.
(2) Experience applying advanced mathematics (stochastic modeling, simulation, optimization, probability and statistics) within the financial services sector, particularly mortgage or home equity operations, would be beneficial, though not required.
(3) Candidates who have solid technical training in engineering, math, or science, along with an MBA (or equivalent) from a top program(s), are strongly preferred.
