The Sr Quantitative Analyst plays a key role in enhancing portfolio and account management servicing strategies through the development of data driven business solutions. This position focuses on creating improvement in loan servicing through the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of portfolio data. The Sr Quantitative Analyst applies quantitative and analytical skills to improve decisions and processes through data analysis, strategy testing and reporting.


JOB DUTIES
-Partner with business leadership to execute existing business strategies and formulate servicing strategy improvements
-Provide recommendations to business leadership on the appropriate application of data analysis to business strategies, processes and decisions
-Develop written project plans to set expectations and garner business partner agreement and commitment
-Conduct data analysis to assess and report on factors that impact Servicing and affect customer behavior
-Monitor and analyze portfolio performance
-Provide management with critical operating data by implementing and maintaining processes that monitor and report on key business functions
-Assist in the implementation and deployment of analytical decision models in operational processes
-Present and communicate results of analysis efforts in a manner consistent with the target audience
-Maintain and develop various databases, technical models and reports required to support research, data gathering, and analytic responsibilities
-Lead the design, development and deployment of systematic improvements across the organization
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
-Demonstrated understanding and strong aptitude for relational datasets, data warehouses, data mining and data analysis techniques
-Knowledge of financial and statistical principles
Thorough understanding of organizational roles within a consumer finance business
-Good understanding of consumer loan portfolio analysis techniques and business terminology

-Self-motivated to prioritize work on multiple complex assignments with ongoing deadlines.
-Proficiency in econometric or statistical experimental design
-Extensive project management skills, demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and leadership skills
-Ability to initiate and lead complex projects
-Able to work with minimal supervision
-Good MS Word and MS PowerPoint skills
-Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet skills
-Advanced SAS software skills including basic data functions, macros and SQL

Experience
-Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar quantitative field and 5+ years of related work experience OR undergraduate degree in previous areas with 7+ years of work experience and advanced spreadsheet and SAS software skills
