And to take on important responsibility from day one while building a rewarding career - all with a fast-growing industry leader.Responsibilities Job Function:Services and develops qualified retirement plans as a Relationship Manager.  Primary activities and responsibilities include relationship management, investment and retirement responsibilities, business development and ERISA administration.  Responsible for the largest and most complex retirement services accounts.Relationship Management: Conducts periodic relationship, investment and plan reviews with clients to ensure that strategies are consistent with clients goals and needs. Communicates with clients and prospects to monitor the quality and delivery of products and services by the bank and its vendors. Functions independently without reliance of direct support and responding directly to customer’s needs and requests. Responds and replies to written and oral inquiries from Plan Administrators, other Company Representatives, insurance underwriters, actuaries, accountants, attorneys relative to administrative or legal issues or problems related to the operations and administration of the plan and/or trust. Supervises a designated team member (RSC or RSA) assuring the activities and responsibilities of the position are met.  Provides an evaluation of the team member’s responsibilities in an annual performance review. Mentors Retirement Services Specialists.Investment and Educational Responsibilities: Ensures the assigned portfolio is in compliance with laws, regulations and rulings governing trust services, retirement plans, and the policies and procedures of the Trust Group. Communicates clearly and timely in writing to the Investment Department on needs and changes required and has the ability to communicate investment changes to the client. Provides employee enrollment and educational presentations and activities.Business Development: Participates in the sales process by offering expertise in implementation and plan design. Provides the initial analysis of plan and trust documents to determine acceptability by the bank. Gathers information concerning the clients and prospects needs and objectives to expand existing relationships and develop new business opportunities. Develops new client relationships by obtaining referrals from existing clients or centers of influence or other areas of the bank. Provides referrals and cross-selling opportunities of qualifying prospective clients to other bank areas and the Private Client Group.ERISA Administration: Serves as the principal liaison between the bank and the corporate plan sponsor to ensure that trust funds are properly administered and invested according to stated plan and trust agreement provisions and applicable federal laws and regulations. Reviews, approves and directs required daily administrative functions performed by Retirement Services Coordinators and Retirement Services Assistants in accordance with the governing document or client written requests or instructions. Reviews work and account balance reports in order to monitor activity in the accounts.  Covers overdrafts caused by security transactions or reinvestment of excess funds. Ensures that all accounts are billed in accordance with established fee schedule and collected. Reviews and certifies annual compliance and accounting for accuracy and completeness and is in accordance with the governing plan document and applicable laws and regulations of the Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service. Replies to questionnaire of the Comptroller of Currency prior to their arrival to conduct examinations for Trust Division as it relates to the Retirement Services Group.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fields CPA, CFP, Legal or related designation preferred EB Designation 7+ years of Trust Account Administration 7+ years of Retirement Services Administration 5+ years of investment management experienceRequired Specific Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fiduciary administration (ERISA) In-depth knowledge of investment management In-depth knowledge of retirement products and services, and sales process. Thorough understanding of advanced investment concepts such as asset allocation, diversification and investment fund types Ability to effectively apply and communicate advanced investment concepts to meet client needs. Thorough understanding of the products and services offered by Retirement Services Group.Preferred Skills: Strong organizational, project management and planning skills. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills. Demonstrated communication ability to include relationship management skills. Ability to work effectively on a team. Independent and self-motivated. Detailed oriented. Ability to interpret retirement plans and related trust agreements. Ability to develop and efficiently implement budgets and goals. Ability to communicate investment results and strategies in a clear, meaningful way. Ability to coordinate with officers in other departments of the Bank for the purpose of cross selling services. Ability to carry out marketing plans with Business Development Officers. Personal computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Internet and the Intranet.Essential Physical or Mental Requirements: Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform essential job functions. Ability to read and interpret a document. Ability to travel if required to perform the essential functions of the job.
