* This position is located in Walnut Creek, CA with the possible location option of San Francisco for exceptionally qualified candidates.Primary Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, directly and through subordinates, the analysis of business and customer performance/risk exposure.. Overseeing and developing the Wells Fargo proprietary Risk Case Management System to detect and manage identified risks.
Directing and coordinating the various activities related to assessing and predicting business performance through business analysis and/or modeling.
Determining policies and strategies that maximize profits and/or asset growth and minimizes credit and/or operating losses and other risk exposures.
Managing modeling and data analysis, credit scoring and/or risk management.Additional Responsibilities:
Works with other senior risk managers and senior business management to formulate the Company's risk policies and programs.
Represents assigned area on all risk management matters requiring review and approval by senior management.
Accountable for all aspects of risk exposure for business unit or functional area moderate to high size and complexity.
Exercises usual authority of a manager including selection and development of staff of 2 to 3 direct reports with a group size of up to 6 team members.
Minimum Qualifications


* Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in risk management analysis preferably in the banking or finance industry
2 + years previous management experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
2+ years statistical risk modeling experience with SAS
Exceptional vision and strategic orientation.
Flexibility and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
Excellent written, verbal, facilitation and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and to innovate.
Strong conceptual and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Skilled communicator with ability to influence others.
Proficient use of MS Visio, Excel and other MS Office applications
4-year college degree or equivalent experience
* Preferred Skills:
An MBA degree
Knowledge of risk exposure for the merchant card processing industry.
