Responsible for soliciting loan and deposit business through major contacts within the commercial real estate industry.  Responsible for analyzing and structuring loan requests, working as part of a two-person team with a Portfolio Manager.  Responsible for ensuring loan profitability and customer satisfaction.  Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of real estate developments in assigned territory.



REGULAR DUTIES:

Interview loan applicants to determine their borrowing needs and to define financial strength and credit status.



Analyze loan requests and associated financial data to determine whether the loan is within acceptable bank risk standards and in keeping with loan policy.  Structure loans with appropriate collateral and sound repayment terms.  Evaluate risk and review the compensating demand deposit balances of each loan customer in order to properly price loans to meet profitability standards.



Advise customers on permanent financing arrangements.



Solicit and develop credit relationships with customers.



Make business development calls monthly outside of the bank to expand existing loan and deposit relationships or to solicit new ones.  Prepare a written call report on each call.



Review demand deposit profitability analysis and outline strategies to bring unprofitable accounts back to profitable status.



Presents loan approval packages to appropriate credit approval authority along with Portfolio Manager.



Acts as relationship manager in coordinating with various units and (Trust, Branches, Operations, etc.) in servicing of routine transactions and development of business other than loans.



Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of commercial real estate developments in assigned territory.



Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
6-8 years experience with commercial/private banking, credit analysis, accounting or other financial/real estate related experience.

2+ years of real estate lending or underwriting experience.

Completion of a formal credit training program or equivalent work experience.



OR



MBA College degree and 4 years experience with commercial/private banking, credit analysis, real estate related experience.
