Full Job Title: Quality Engineer Lead-GMD Fort Greely Skills Management Title Process - QualityJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Position is a Domestic Temporary Assignment (DTA) to support Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) in Ft. Greely, Alaska. Position will provide Hardware / Software Quality Engineering support to Interceptor Product Team for build-up, Test Readiness Reviews, Hardware audits including verifying configuration control is maintained at all times, and installation activities of launch vehicles at the Ft. Greely site. Maintain site quality processes and procedures and ensure they are followed at all times. Provide oversight of on-site supplier activities to contract quality and program requirements. Provide direct support to on-site customer representatives. Experience with Material Review Boards and extensive root cause and corrective action skills. This position will either be a Domestic Temporary Assignment or relocation to Ft. Greely, Alaska. Competencies REQUIRED: Solid foundation in mechanical installation, inspection and test activities. Knowledge of hardware audit processes. Ability to work with customers, suppliers and IPT's. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain quality schedules and coordinate coverage of multiple activities with on-site quality personnel. Ability to communicate and elevate program problems in a timely manner. DESIRED: ASQ CQA and CQE. Experience working on a defense program. Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Work and Project. Prior experience leading Boeing Quality at an off-site location with minimal direct supervision.Notes: EDUCATION CONTINUED: or educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and either a Master's degree with typically 7 to 11 years' experience in an engineering classification.
