Job Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Anaheim Major Subcontracts Management is seeking individuals to lead and manage critical and strategic supplier management activities that have a significant impact on the company's performance. Responsibilities will include team leadership in the solicitation, negotiation, and administration of complex major subcontract activities under government prime contracts, and the development and deployment of strategic subcontract management plans and risk management plans. The selected candidates will be expected to develop solutions to complex supplier management issues that require a high degree of creativity and innovation. Lead multifunctional teams to define delivery, quality and performance standards; guide major procurement decision-making in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. Perform subcontract administration and lead evaluation/negotiation of technically complex proposals to achieve cost reduction targets. The individuals will initiate assignments with consultative direction toward supplier management long-range goals and objectives. The individuals will provide guidance and mentoring to others on procurement related matters, and will serve as a consultant and external spokesman for the organization. Competencies Candidates must possess a mastery of all supplier management skills and processes, including but not limited to experience in negotiating proprietary information agreements and teaming agreements, and administering various contract types (including cost type or cost plus incentive/award fee) in an integrated product team environment. Candidates must have a strong understanding of related engineering processes such as requirements development and flow down, release cycle and configuration and data management. Must combine strong organizational and analytical problem solving skills with the ability to see the broad picture in a given business situation. Candidates must possess strong leadership and team building skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Advanced knowledge of the applicable regulatory (FAR, UCC, etc) & procedural requirements required. Other attributes include excellent communication and presentation skills, decision-making, problem solving, business competency and proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite products. Experience in IPT programs and in implementation of alpha contracting methodologies and earned value management system on cost/incentive type contracts is highly desirable.Notes: This position requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance. The applicant must be willing to travel as required. 'The Boeng Company recently announced that their facility located in Anaheim, CA will be closed by 2010 and all jobs will be relocated with the majority moving to the Huntington Beach, CA facility. The majority of the employees will move between First Quarter 2007 and First Quarter 2008.
