Full Job Title: Network Management Systems Engineer 4 Skills Management Title Systems EngineeringJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership for the development of network management systems (NMS) architectures and will perform technical analysis of large military network communication systems. The candidate will evaluate, recommend and develop NMS requirements and alternate architectures for military networks, and will provide inputs to proposals, customer briefings, and internal technical reviews. The candidate's knowledge of wireless networks and communication systems along with systems engineering processes will be used to satisfy customer needs. The candidate will be responsible for solving technical problems in concert with other engineers on the team. General duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: development and integration of NMS hardware and software architectures, high level software design, subsystem interface specifications, and software development. Candidate selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for a DOD Secret clearance. Travel may be required to interface with customers and program related meetings, conferences, and briefings. Competencies This position requires expertise in real time embedded development, network management systems for mobile ad-hoc wireless and wired networks, networking protocols and network security concepts. Experience in some of the following area is required: C/C++, OOA/OOD, CORBA, UML/Rational Rose, DB programming, SNMP (Java libraries), or Linux environment. Recent experience in one or more of the following area is highly desirable: application of Multiple Levels of Security (MILS), cross domain guards, HAIPE, FCAPS and internetworking technologies (routing, QoS). Familiarity with GIG network architectures and protocols, JTRS, FAB-T, FCS, TSAT, or TMOS is a plus. Knowledge of managing RF, military wireless, mobile Ad-hoc, MANET, satellite communications networks, DODAF and CONOPS is preferred. Typically a minimum of 13 years experience in a systems engineering classification is required.Notes: This position requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain interim and/or final clearances (post start).CS450025 The Boeing Company recently announced that their facility located in Anaheim, California, will be closed by 2010 and all jobs will be relocated with the majority moving to the Huntington Beach, California, facility.
