Job Description:
This position is needed to ensure full GAAP compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting and help to meet extremely tight deadlines for AIG reporting requirements. Also to ensure no material weakness in investment accounting for AIGRS. This person will be responsible for review of partnership accounting, affordable housing accounting and derivative accounting. GAAP and Statutory reporting and accounting of retirement services investment assets. Provide and prepare special consolidation reports and analysis for management including SI reports, SEC and tax filings, rating agency surveys, and internal reports, also responsible for reviewing monthly entries and reconciliation’s for partnerships, other invested assets, and swaps. Supervise and help staff with the monthly accounting process.

In this role you will be responsibile for the following.

Keep current on GAAP and STAT issues and ensure the accounting and procedures in place are appropriate.

Prepare and analyze detail and reconciled monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting.

Supervise monthly reporting process and analysis for partnerships.

Prepare and analyze consolidated variance analysis report comparing actual investment income versus plan.

Consolidated common stock report analysis and reconciliation.

Prepare P&L statement analysis and report preparation for management

Real estate reports.

Help management with other multiple tasks besides regular activities such as audit process and others.

Prepare and review GAAP Reporting for purposes of 10Q and 10K filings, as well as reports for MD&A

Maintain and manipulate investment portfolio database, including market valuations and ratings

Obtain and report monthly performance numbers for hedge fund partnerships, update unfunded commitment information for partnerships, and help prepare partnership slide presentation.

Help prepare quarterly/annual rating agency presentation slides.

Review monthly entries and reconciliation’s for partnerships, other invested assets, and swaps.

Other projects and duties as assigned.
