MORTGAGE COLLECTOR

ACS is looking to add a new member to our Loss Mitigation Team. We have an excellent opportunity in our Downey, CA location for the right candidate to perform collection calls on delinquent and severely delinquent accounts. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized/detail oriented, and able to schedule and meet deadlines. A background in mortgage loan servicing and bankruptcy could be helpful for this position.

Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for generating a high volume of outgoing calls, dealing with a high volume of incoming calls, and generating workout agreements to assist severely delinquent borrowers. You will review delinquent accounts and determine the actions required, obtain promise-to-pay from borrowers, comply with collection practices, including Right to Privacy Act, and communicate with the Collections Manager regularly regarding collection/delinquency trends, accounts in queue, and problem accounts.


MORTGAGE LOAN SET-UP REPRESENTATIVE

ACS is looking to add a new member to our Loan Servicing Department. We have an excellent opportunity in our Downey, CA location for the right candidate to set-up mortgage loans. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to work independently, and interpret mortgage note details for entry into the computer system. Mortgage experience a plus, but not required.

Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for entering a high volume of mortgage loans into our loan servicing system. Individual will create a loan servicing file and create/mail correspondance to the appropriate parties. Other responsibilities include invoice generation, filing, and light customer service calls.
REQUIREMENTS
MORTGAGE COLLECTOR

*One to three years experience in high volume collection or call center environment, preferable in a mortgage, banking, or real estate environment
*Knowledge of the Fair Debt Credit Protection Act
*Foreclosure and/or Bankruptcy experience desired, but not required
*Excellent negotiation, analytical, written, and verbal skills
*Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be proactive and an independent thinker
*Possess effective decision making skills
*Ability to work independently and within a team
*Knowledge of MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel are required
*Bilingual English and Spanish is desired, but not required


MORTGAGE SET-UP REPRESENTATIVE

*Minimum of two years data entry experience
*Ability to interpret loan documents
*Strong aptitude for numbers
*Work well under pressure and under tight deadlines
*Ability to work independently as well as within a team
*Excellent follow-up, written and verbal skills
*Knowledge of MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel are required
*Excellent customer service skills
