Loan Processor/Junior Underwriter

Purpose:
Our client, a large mortgage institution, is seeking a number of Loan Processors to join their team and process mortgage loans for start to finish.

On a day to day basis, this person will be responsible for acting as a liaison between brokers, lenders, and clients. This person will be processing loans that have already been approved by an underwriter and will have credit signing authority limited to clearing conditions on loans that have previously been approved. The loan processor will be responsible for reviewing customer income/asset documentation, resolving routine title issues, processing subordinations, verifying employment and salary requirements, etc. Loan processors will also be coordinating their own closing activities.

To be qualified for this position, individuals must have at least two (2+) years of experience processing mortgage loans as well as a demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. Qualified candidates will be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel and have basic concepts of financial math. Preferred candidates will have previous DU and LP experience.

This position is scheduled to be a long term contract position with the possibility of going permanent based on performance. This is a local position in the Richmond area with no per diem or relo offered. This shift is from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
