Loan Officer / Loan Originator
Job Description: We are currently hiring for RETAIL loan officers/originators in our Pomona, Riverside, Temecula, Tustin, Long Beach, Encinitas, Vista, Camarillo and Lake Forest offices. Loan Officer/Loan Originators employed with First Horizon are called Relationship Managers. The Retail Relationship Manager (loan officer/originator) is the main channel in which the products and services of First Horizon Home Loans (FHHL) are delivered. The position is responsible for the ongoing promotion and sale of financial products & services (including cross sell) and solicitation of new business. This position normally reports to the retail branch manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities The Relationship Manager originates prime and non-prime mortgage loans (A paper, Alt A, sub prime, builder products (OTC)) through self generated solicitation of builder/developers, real estate brokers/agents, and possibly, financial institutions by selling the advantages of the company. The Relationship Manager may also receive business from past clients, referrals and various self generated marketing programs.
Calls on trade organizations to obtain FHA/VA or conventional applications.Cross sells FTN services to all customers while working closely with company’s Cross Sell coordinators.Follows through loan process till closing by working within fairly standardized methods/processes and utilize company standard rates as outlined by their region.Performs and documents complete interview with applicants while obtaining and providing all required documentation as applicable to sales process.Establishes and/or maintains customer database files.Promotes FHHL through involvement in community activities and organizations.

Office Environment: In house processing, closing and underwriting in Temecula, Tustin and Vista. In house processing and closing in Pomona, Encinitas, Lake Forest, Camarillo, Long Beach. DU & LP. If DU approves the loan, doc's can be drawn in the office. Loan Officer Plus (LOP) is our loan officer program and TMO is our processing program. NOTE: LOP is being upgraded to Presto beginning in Spring 2006.

REQUIREMENTS
Job Qualifications/Requirements: Travels to local, regional and headquarter locations as necessary. Completes such other activities as required to meet obligations of position. Works closely with all office personnel to ensure smooth processing of customer files. Demonstrated ability to solicit new business and cross sell products and services. A minimum of 1 year experience in the mortgage industry in a sales/production role, support position, real estate agent sales experience or 100% commission sales position is preferred.
