Investment Accounting Manager

Safeco Financial Operations is currently seeking an Investment Accounting Manager who will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Investment accounting function, concerning primarily the accuracy and maintenance of the Investment ledger accounts and the resultant GAAP& Statutory schedules and reports. The selected candidate will frequently interact with Investment Operations and monitor their compliance with accounting regulations. Will oversee the investment accounting administration system and direct the research and analysis of investment accounting treatment of potential new securities. The Investment Accounting Manager will also be responsible for the direct supervision of the Investment accounting staff.Candidates should have an Accounting or Finance degree, MBA or CPA is a plus. At least three to five years of investment accounting experience and prior management experience is required. Have a strong understanding of GAAP accounting. Candidates must have strong organizational and prioritization skills. Prior experience with establishing and maintaining effective relationships and the ability to communicate effectively with people at varying levels of the company. Able to multi-task in a fast pace environment. Candidates should also possess strong skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
