Investment Accountant

Classification: Full Time Compensation: Pay up to $80,000 per year Due to tremendous growth, a newly created position exists with our client located in the Enfield area. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this position's primary responsibility is the management of the asset accounting and reporting teams including external fund accounting, securities accounting, asset accounting, and derivatives accounting. Additional duties of this position include management, development, and mentoring of teams, hiring, staff development and training needs. Participating in the monitoring of existing and implementation of new regulatory and accounting requirements and ensure their appropriate application in practice, management and monitoring of project development initiatives as they impact the accounting group, information reporting management and development focused on providing timely and accurate accounting information for clients, provide support to external and internal auditors and other regulatory agencies - i.e. state insurance commissioners and SEC. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 5+ years experience in the investment accounting field, with emphasis on fixed income instruments and insurance company reporting requirements.
