The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is actively recruiting for an experienced IT Auditor who excels in a deadline driven environment with multiple priorities. The IT Auditor will assist in performing Information Technology (IT) audits and reviews of functional areas to determine accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency of department procedures, business processes, and internal controls at all Fifth District offices or FRIT locations

This position requires above average to outstanding oral and written communication experience with individuals at all levels of the organization. Requires three or more years of work experience in an auditing or IT role, preferably with a financial services organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities
•Conducts audits of IT environments in accordance with accepted standards and to assess the accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency of procedures and internal controls.
•Develops and maintains audit procedures for technology areas including network, communications, operating system, database, and web-based technologies.
•Analyzes accounts and/or departmental operating procedures to determine compliance with appropriate regulations and operating instructions of the Treasury, Federal Reserve Board, Federal Reserve System, and this Bank.
•Participates as audit liaison in IT development projects to provide proactive feedback on the designed control structure and compliance with system project management and technology standards.
•As Auditor-In-Charge (AIC), directs and makes work assignments for approximately 1-10 staff members engaged in auditing records, procedures, and controls at any Fifth District/FRIT office. Assures that audits are performed professionally according to audit standards. Reviews data submitted by staff for sufficiency of scope, accuracy, and completeness; gives instructions and answers questions.
•Prepares formal written report to management at conclusion of audit, disclosing technical deficiencies and recommending corrective action. May make oral presentation to management of same.
•Subject to extended work hours to complete audit assignments.
•Subject to 10-20% overnight travel to conduct audits at other Fifth District and FRIT locations.
Qualifications/Experience
•Requires above average to outstanding oral and written communication experience with individuals at all levels of the organization.
•Requires three or more years of work experience in an auditing or IT role, preferably with a financial services organization.
•Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Accounting is highly desired.
•CISA, CIA, CISSP, or CPA certification preferred.
•Requires experience with or knowledge of information technology disciplines, such as internetworking, Internet/Web, network and computer operations, change control, information security, database systems, and IT infrastructure and distributed/mainframe programming.
•Knowledge of audit concepts, principles, techniques and standards, such as the IIA Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
