Full Job Title: Engineer/S, Liaison Engineering Skills Management Title Liaison EngineeringJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Commercial Airplanes (BCA)Job Description: Analyze, develop and approve repair dispositions for commercial aircraft nonconforming products in all phases of production, modification and flight test. Serves as a member of the Materials Review Board. Provide on site factory technical support including interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and documents. Initiate design and process changes to correct design errors, resolve complex, chronic manufacturing problems and to improve the producibility of aircraft hardware. Communicates proactively with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Design personnel. Competencies Builds long-term relationships with internal and external customers by understanding their current and future needs; meeting commitments to customers on time and keeping them informed; seeks and uses customer feedback. Success requires great communication and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build relationships to gain support and commitment from others is essential. Previous or current Materials Review Board (MRB) Engineering authority highly desired. Structures, composites, or systems knowledge/experience desired. Experience with commercial or military aircraft/rotorcraft maintenance, modifications, logistics support or flight line operations is desired. CATIA skills a plus.Notes: Education con't: BSME, BSCE, BSEE , Bacherlors in Aerospace and/or Aeronautical Engineering with a diverse background in design, fabrication, major assembly, modification and flight testing. Knowledge of repair methods in addition to knowledge of production and design processes. Positions available in Seattle, Auburn, Frederickson, Renton, Everett, WA and Portland, OR. Ability to work all shifts required. Most job hours are on first shift. Work assignments to support overtime, 2nd and 3rd shift have some flexibility, but the expectation is for everyone to equitably share these responsibilities.
