Full Job Title: Drive Systems IPT Leader, level L Skills Management Title Drive Systems DesignJob Level: MANAGEMENTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: The Level III lead/manager primary responsibility is for the Apache Drive Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT), reporting to the Level II lead/manager for the Apache Airframe and Dynamic Systems IPT. The IPT Lead also reports to the Mechanical & Structures Engineering Functional Manager as a secondary responsibility, in support of People, Processes & Tools within the skill area, including support to Rotorcraft Engineering activities across Mesa and Philadelphia. The Drive Systems IPT provides engineering, supplier management and production support for the Apache drive system and for major mechanical parts of the armament system including the gun turret and wing pylons. IPT customers include: Apache Longbow Blocks I, II & III, Advanced Systems R&D and ManTech programs, Production Operations, Aerospace Support and Fielding. The Drive Systems IPT manager leads the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the Drive Systems IPT and establishes reporting relationships, operating policies and procedures in support of programs. The manager is expected to lead the IPT in accordance with Boeing Best Practices including Customer Communication, Earned Value Management, Risk Management, Requirements and Opportunities Management, and Supplier Management. Additional duties include support to Staffing Plans, Performance Evaluations, Employee Development, New Business Campaigns, Technical Advisory Boards and Academia/Symposia when necessary. Competencies Requires: ? Experience & demonstrated performance leading projects in a teaming environment ? Excellent people and communication skills ? Broad knowledge of Engineering and Business fundamentals, processes & tools ? Application of Boeing Best Practices ? Demonstrated ability to prevail in a high stress work environment. Desired: ? Rotorcraft engineering background ? Design and/or analysis experience in Drive Systems / Gear Design ? R&D and ManTech project experience ? Supplier relationship across the skill area ?
