DMV Specialist

Volt has an opening for a Consumer Loan DMV Specialist. We are looking for candidates who have had previous experience in processing DMV paperwork.
Primary responsibilities include DMV document preparation, the lien perfection for all collateralized consumer loans such as cars, boats, travel trailer and motorcycles. The job responsibility includes: UCC filing, terminations statement with various counties or secretary of state for recording, perfecting all incoming titles, responding to member calls and complaints in a timely manner. Updating the procedures when there are any law changes related to DMV. Testing new products and procedures and implement process improvements for improved efficiencies. This position is in a fast paced environment and requires excellent written/verbal communication skills, analytical skills, prioritizing workflow, multi-tasking, and applying organizational skills to ensure timely turn around to provide the highest standards of member service. The Consumer Loan Servicing DMV Specialist will work and interface with all vendors, branch offices, the Call Center, marketing, and internal and external members.
Position Task, Duties, & Responsibilities:
Submit DMV documents to Department of Motor vehicle to ensure our lien has been secured.
Work on Follow-up report for the outstanding titles daily. Assist in providing customer support that includes troubleshooting transaction problems, and handling special requests.
Interface with internal and external members by responding to calls and complaints within department service standards.
Interface with third-party vendors to ensure adherence to service level agreements.
Implement process improvements for more timely and accurate processing for improved member service.
Assist with writing procedures and maintaining updates on a regular basis. Assist management with audit report preparations as needed.
Work on special projects as assigned. Providing training assistance as needed.
Provide back-up assistance to the consumer loan servicing processors and other functional areas as required.
Maintain a working knowledge of Credit Union core system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, FDI software and other applicable software applications.


Requirements:

Current financial industry experience preferred. This position requires analytical skills, prioritizing workflow, multi-tasking, and applying organizational skills to ensure timely turn around to provide the highest standards of member service. Required excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge with use of computers, applicable software applications, and related office equipment.
